SAGEM UNBRANDING TUTORIAL

WARNING, THIS TUTORIAL COULD BRICK YOUR PHONE IF YOU DON'T DO THINGS CORRECTLY. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

If you have a Sagem myV-75, this tutorial might work.

To unbrand your Sagem myX-6 you need TelMemPlus to change the EEPROM of the phone's ID number and then you need to get the original unbranded firmware.

To change the ID number you must use TelmemPlus. You can find it at this address: www.telmemplus.de/startdownload
The original firmware updating program is called "msu_2.18_251337354" and can be found at www.planetsagem.com UPDATE: As of 2022 PlanetSagem no longer exists and the firmwares weren't archived properly.

Once TelmemPlus is installed, open it and click on PROM

The following window will open, click on Field No and change the value to :997 and then click on Read Field.

You will see the following pairs of numbers, even if they are different from the example then don't worry, it's exactly the same.

Now you have to click on Edit and Rewrite .

This window will open, you have to change the part of the code highlighted in the red circle, with the serial number of the update you want to do, in our case, enter 25 13 37 35 40 and press Rewrite and you're done, the ID number has been changed.

Now let's move on to unbranding.

Open msu_2.18_251337354 and click on Next wait for it to finish (about 8 minutes)

and done! Your phone is now fresh, like it came from the factory.
